Terrible experience. We took a watch there over 5 months ago and they've had it most of that time. It has been returned to us a few times only to be taken back a few days later because it stopped again. While in their care, they managed to break both the watch strap and the crystal. The repair service is incompetent and customer service is rude and patronizing.

I took my watch there to have a battery changed and to have it cleaned (it was an older watch and the insides needed a bit of a tune up). They did it with no trouble. Then, I took it back for another battery change and while they were happy to take it apart and put in a new battery. When it came to closing up the back, they refused to even try, saying that the crystal was scratched and might therefore break. The crystal is an odd shape, so it is not simple to put back together, but they managed without incident last time. I told them I would even sign a waiver to ensure that they would not be held liable if the crystal broke. That made no difference. They offered to take it to a shop in Calgary to see if a guy there could put it together. Fine. The guy said no, so they gave me my watch with the back off and insides out of place.I took it to another jeweler, who said, no problem, I'll see what I can do. He put it together and didn't even charge me.The hands on my watch had been moved slightly, which I'm quite certain happened when it was being transported around in pieces, and for the next couple years, , until I took it in for the next battery change, I couldn't quite tell what time it was. If they had said, no we don't feel comfortable dealing with that shape of crystal or with a crystal that is scratched, that would have been no big deal. My problem is that they took it apart and then refused to even try to put it back together. On top of that, they didn't even seem to care. I found the woman there to be rude and indifferent.Incidentally, my watch has been snapped back together, with the scratched crystal, at least three times since then, and it's doing just fine.
Very very poor customer service! Once they have your money they don't care about customer satifaction. All they try to do is up sell. I spent over $1400 at this store and it was a total nightmare. They would not refund my purchase, they gave me store credit but could not offer me anything nice. Never returned my calls and were very rude!Dont shop here! Very over priced and rude staff. Go to Spence where you will be satisfied!
