Well-kept, polite staff, and convenient hours!
Pretty good recycling facility. You can buy used bikes for kids. Book swap. They don't recycle large appliances for some reason. You need to take those to the landfill which makes no sense.
There is a book exchange shed. It's not in any particular order but obviously popular, well stocked with something for everyone, and an excellent service to offer. Thank you!
We used to live in Airdrie, and loved this Depot! We still do...as we drive there from the SE still every couple months or so, to recycle items that we can't recycle in Calgary. Like soft plastics and styrofoam! It was incredible when they had styrofoam recycling of all kinds, (including the styrofoam used for food packaging), and am disappointed that you still can't recycle all types. But super grateful they still accept the white packing styrofoam for recycling!! Staff is super friendly and helpful, love the book shed too! They have bikes out in the summer...but wish they had a sign on the bike area to say what they are for, and how that works. We have to pay in Calgary to recycle many of the things they accept for free! Such a great facility for avid recyclers like us!!
Strongly recommend going to this Depot. Very easy signage for dumping, friendly staff, and they even have a small Book Exchange Shed. A free library of books to read.10/10
