A nice little walk with space for the dog to run around and meet other dogs.

This is my favourite off leash area in Airdrie! Like the other off leash parks, the city of Airdrie provides poop bags which is amazing and helps keep them clean. There is a paved path along the top of the hill and a worn footpath through the grass by the backyard fences. It takes about 30-45 minutes round trip to walk from the south side of the park to where it ends by the grave yard and back again. The park is quit safe and even though it is not fully fenced in, there is little chance that dogs would run off - there is a fence along the highway and residential backyard fences along the other side of the path. My dogs love it here!

My dog absolutely lives for his time at this dog park. He much rather play at this one then the nose creek park. This one is open with area to run and explore. And I find his attitude is much more relaxed and playful when he's at this park. I think because nose creek dog park has very little to it and that it is fenced in most dogs think of it as their yard.. where as this dog park has an abundance of space and trees and bushes it's more like a field to the dogs. I also love the fact that people watch out for not only their own dog(s) but they watch out for everyone's dog(s). This is my go to spot to let my big boy run and play.

Big Springs hill for me would be a starter dog park. It's not overly crowded, so it's easy to walk away from other dogs, if you're not comfortable with how they're playing. I brought my puppy here before bringing her to Nose Creek dog park. You get a nice view of Airdrie and also get a huge running space for your dog. It's a perfect place to teach your dog to fetch as sometimes you will be the only one there. (Winter 2018). This is the park where my puppy first played with another dog.

My favorite off leash dog park in Airdrie! Great hour walk for us, and great dog owners. Possibly not a good spot if your dog does not have a good recall, cause there are some places to leave the park (no gates). This park is well taken care of by the city, poo poo baggies are supplied with lots of garbages. A nice paved path for easy walking or muddy days.
