I have worked with Kensington Insurance for many years and have also referred family to them. My experience has been a good one. When I need assistance I contact Helen via email and she is so fast and gets me what I need even on really short notice.As such, because I need things in a hurry, I might pay a little more for my insurance but the service performed with such speed doesn't allow for "shopping around".

We met with Dale at Kensington insurance in mid October to get insurance for our car, and 2 condos. We finally received the policy in eary December. The amount was twice what we were quoted, and the insurance company did not have our second condo on record at all. We gave Dale a call and he said he would change it no problems, and it would be back to the original quote. A few days later we still had not heard anything and definitely had a bad vibe so decided to get a secondary quote from another agent. The other agent was able to complete everything in one day. Proper quote and pink slips and everything. We tried to get in contact with Dale for 5 day in order to cancel our insurance. We contacted the insurance company directly only to find out that Dale had NOT contacted them at all about adjusting our premium and we would be charged a penalty on the full amount on an insurance policy we never would have signed up for if we knew the whole amount.Dale eventually called back and was really quite inappropriate and ridiculous on the phone. He accused my girlfriend of being from the instant rice generation, that he didn't even have to see her face to know the kind of person she was, that we were ungrateful for his good service, and that he hoped she had a good life. We are STILL trying to get a refund of the money the company charged on our credit card.
Works for the Insurance Company and and not for you. As insurance brokers go, the ads on TV telling you that they are there for you are a misrepresentation of this company. They didn't shop around, they provided no options, very unorganized, every rep wants you off the phone quickly, still shuffle paper around and I'm not even sure "my file" even existed, because they took my contact information on every phone call. Exceptionally poor service, find someone else to deal with.
