One word "outstanding"Okay more then one word The best place to spend on cakes, cupcakes, much much more. It's a delight coming and choosing the cupcakes I love to eat on Saturdays. Huge treat for me and my familyService is so friendly, welcoming, patient, and always smiling. To me that tells me the work environment is a happy place although they have a huge volume of orders and customers. Both times I come on saturday not busy and I come before 12 PM. Hope that helps !

Love this spot for sweet treats! Dont see a cupcake there? No problem, they will make what you are looking for. A few years back they made a speciality stampede cupcake. I was a mini pancake cupcake, drizzled with maple syrup and teeny tiny slice of butter on top of the icing. Wow! It was delicious. I have purchased pies, cakes and macaroons from them and they never disappoint. My husband ordered me a birthday cake and reiterated to them that I do not like sugary icing. They nailed the icing! Friendly and accommodating staff!
Avenue is a wonderful, delicious place. Friends have been shopping there for years for birthday cakes & such while I've mostly done my own baking... I bought cupcakes there for the first time 3 weeks ago and am completely addicted. We were back again yesterday for another round.Oh and if you're looking for cheesecake, their cheesecake pies are the most glorious example of cheesecake I've ever tasted. They are rich and creamy without being over dense and gluey... The toppings (especially the turtle) are well thought out and delicious.
Best bakery Ive ever been to, hands down! A large variety of goodies that change often, they also have seasonal favourites as well as one-off celebration themes (ie the Royal Wedding).Delicious flavours to be had all around (At least in everything Ive tried so far!) and all the treats look marvellous! Especially the cakes waiting for pickup. Worth every penny spent for these delicious baked goods. Ill be a customer as long as theyre around!
