Bought a membership for my underage child and I had to sign the contract. She used it for a few months and hasn't used it since. It still has a few months left and I wanted to use it for myself since she is not and I am paying for it. I was told I cannot do that even though she is underage and I am paying for it and signed the contract. Contracted customer service and the same response. They will do nothing for me. Will never ever go here ever! Just wasted $600
Amazing that its open 24/7, extremely convenient. There have been ongoing issues with the cleanliness of the change rooms. Also the showers are almost always out of shampoo. Ive brought this up with the staff, but its always been dismissed or they blame other staff members or the cleaners for the state of it. Nice location, nice hours, but it feels like the staff and owners need to care more.
I am very frustrated with this location at the moment. Over a year ago I signed up again with GoodLife and was told I would receive a corporate discount because of where I work. I havent received any kind of discount. I also at the same time of signing up was told there was a promotion that I would receive 2 weeks of free membership. I never received that free 2 weeks at all. The membership fees started right away. So I waited about a month or so to bring this to managements attention, and finally spoke with the manager about it. I pointed out these two things to her and was told that there was no 2 weeks free promo on at the time I signed up and that I did receive the corporate discount. To keep it short she basically made me feel like I was lying, but she did say she would look in to it and see what employee did the contract with me and get back to me about the entire thing. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT PHONE CALL A YEAR LATER. I am a very passive person so I forgave and moved on anyways. I must also say the lack of consistency with the staff is very concerning , I have asked the staff for example about how to go about booking childcare. One will say you have to call and book then I call and I get talked to like a crazy person because I dont have to book child care.....or do I ???Im not sure anymore. Then today happens ........... I am starting a new fitness program and today was my first time going back to GoodLife in months. I walk in the doors with my two very young children in my arms as well as the diaper bag on one shoulder and my gym bag on the other. I walk up to the front desk and Im not greeted what so ever all Im asked is if I need child care today and if Im paying for one or both................. I say you tell me I think????then I have to run out to my vehicle for my wallet (my mistake). I come back in and there was now a line up no biggie right??? No I stood in line for what felt like forever because one employee was dealing with a customer (no issue with that at all). It then took in my opinion way to long for the other employee behind the counter to finally ask the people in the line who was just needing to scan in because they for some reason keep the scanner behind the desk. Never have I seen any other GoodLife do that. So I finally get fed up and I just left. I didnt get my work out in at all today. Frustration was the main cause. With the lack of customer service and waiting so long for what I feel should take 2 min in total to pay for the child care and so on. This location has allot of work to do in my opinion, and when I say that I mean communication, information, and just all around customer service need major improvements. I left today feeling I need to cancel my membership or just drive to Calgary and use another GoodLife.
I have had the worst experience with Good life in Airdrie. There is a personal trainer ( Hanna) who is also a manager there .. that is extremely hard to deal with on ANY level. I have had multiple arguments with her about me being in the gym and training. She has made my workouts difficult to say the least. I would not recommend this gym to anyone! take my advise and drive the distance to another gym. Hanna is rude, has no idea on the term" customer service" she is stubborn and thinks she is the best and everyone else is beneath her. I talked with the other manager about her and he states to just be respectful and walk away. That is the solution? not to fix the problem but have all the gym members to walk around on egg shells? If there was someone to complain to about this I totally would, using social media in hopes that the other members of Good life that have also experienced the negative atmosphere here will also complain, than maybe something will change. I am a fitness competitor and for the first time I feel ashamed to say I workout at Good life Fitness. I rate this as a 1 star but that is not even just!
Honestly one of the best gyms Ive been too! Always super clean, organized & staff are friendly ! Been going for almost 4 years now and Ive never had any issues !
